We only ask for what we need to write your applications, we never sell the information, and we don't use it for advertising. Here's the full explanation.
Who is responsible?
TeenApply (teenapply.com) is the controller for the information you give us. You can reach us at support@teenapply.com.
What we collect
- What you write in the form: name, age, the area you live in, which jobs you want, what you write about yourself, when you can work and the contact details you want at the bottom of the application.
- When you buy: the email address you give when paying. Card details are handled only by Stripe, and we never see them.
- The applications and the CV we make for you.
- If you answer our question after a week: the stars and how it went.
- To prevent misuse of the free trial: a code made from your IP address, which can't be turned back into the address.
What we use it for, and why we're allowed to
- Making the applications, taking payment and sending you the link, because that's what you ask us to do (contract).
- One email a week after the purchase, asking how it went, to make the service better (legitimate interest). We don't send newsletters or advertising.
- Preventing misuse and keeping the service safe (legitimate interest).
- Accounting, because bookkeeping rules require it (legal obligation).
- Counting usage, for example how many try it for free and how many buy. The counts don't contain names or what you've written.
Who receives the information
We use these providers to make the service work. They process the information only on our behalf:
- Anthropic (AI): writes the applications and the CV based on what you've written. The information isn't used to train AI models.
- Stripe: payment. The form information goes with the payment, so the applications can be made afterwards.
- Supabase: stores finished applications and CVs.
- Resend: sends the email with the link to the applications.
- Netlify: runs the website.
- OpenStreetMap: the area you enter is used to find coordinates and businesses nearby.
- Google and ImprovMX: email you send to customer support.
Some of the providers are based in the USA. The transfer then follows EU rules, with the EU standard contractual clauses or the EU–US framework. We never send the applications for you. You send them yourself from your own email.
How long we keep it
- The free trial: we don't store the applications. They're only in your browser, until you delete them.
- Purchased applications and CV: 90 days, so you can open the link again. After that they're deleted automatically.
- The code made from the IP address: two days.
- The payment at Stripe: as long as bookkeeping rules require, normally five years. If you ask for deletion, we remove the form information from the payment.
Cookies
We don't use cookies for tracking or advertising. One cookie remembers which language you've chosen. Your browser remembers the free trial and the changes you make to the applications, so they don't disappear. This is stored only on your device.
Children and young people
The service is for you if you're between 15 and 19. If you're under 16, a parent or guardian must say yes before you use the service. You confirm this in the form.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, have it handed over, or object to us using it. If you're under 16, your parents can do it for you. Write to support@teenapply.com and we'll reply within 30 days. Feel free to include the link to your applications, so we can find the information faster.
If you think we're handling the information incorrectly, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country (in Norway: Datatilsynet).
If you run a business
We show the names of businesses and public email addresses from OpenStreetMap and the businesses' own websites, so that young people can apply for jobs with them (legitimate interest). If you don't want your business to be included, write to support@teenapply.com and we'll remove it.
